摘要
A window shutter has a pear section blade (71) joined to the blades above and below by a system of tongue (91) and grooving (101). The french shutter aspect is maintained without the maintenance problems associated with the traditional shutter. The shutter comprises a series of horizontal blades mounted in a vertical rectangular frame. The blades are of an identical cross-section presenting a series of inclined faces (20, 21) in the major elevations of the shutter, having a tenon (91) projecting vertically from the apex, and have a groove (101) cut centrally into the base. On each side of the groove the section may extend downward (22, 23) to form a water 'drip', and the horizontal extremities of the blades may have vertical tongues or grooves for connection to the frame.
