The distribution system has a despatch centre located on one or several floors of the complex and a system for transmitting orders for the products and for returning products or containers to the despatch centre. The system uses a number of containers guided and conveyed around one horizontal level and up or down a number of floors. The vertical transporters are continuous and operate in one direction only. The system is fitted with speed synchronising mechanisms to ensure smooth flow of the containers without bunching or gaps. Each receiving station is fitted with methods of transfer of the containers out of the conveying line.
