The distribution system supplies both water and gas for domestic purposes, and uses a pressure actuated pump to deliver the water from an external jerry can to a central internal storage tank. The pump motor may be incorporated in the gas feed being mounted in parallel with a pressure-reducer. Water may be stored in a header tank or under pressure in an expansion vessel, the pressure in the latter being maintained by gas behind a membrane partition.
