Waste water purificn. by single tank aeration and settlement - with self cleaning transfer filter between treatment and settling zones

waste water is first oxygenated and agitated in the treatment chamber and then transferred to the settling chamber for clarifying. The water is now transferred through a filter mesh between the two chambers. A mesh clearance device is provided, pref. in the form of an electromagnetic field. The tank is pref. vertical cylindrical and of a height greater than its outside dia. The treatment chamber is pref. vertical cylindrical and coaxial with the tank, the settling chamber being of annular form around the treatment chamber. The settling chamber is pref. horizontally partitioned into a lower, first stage zone with restricted transfer ports into an upper, second stage zone. Compressed air is pref. piped into the lower part of the treatment chamber. Electric supply terminals are pref. wired to the filter mesh and to the air pipe. Used for purification of waste water, sewage etc. from private dwellings, housing estates, etc.
