Modified Arabic alphabet for printing and signs - uses simplified characters permitting each to link with adjacent character to form running script

Each character in the Arabic alphabet is simplified to provide one or two forms only. Their shapes may be modified for this purpose and they can be used in any position in a text, linked or separate. A silent letter, used in conjunction with the Arabic consonant, enables foreign language sounds to be reproduced. The simplified letters can be used in any printing method, a support automatically linking or separating them. They can also be printed onto individual rectangular cards or similar and grouped together to make up signs.
