The head comprises a block (22) provided with a stepped central bore (50, 52, 54) and threaded inlets for the liquid (44) to be sprayed and also compressed air (46). Each spray nozzle is in the form of a separate unit which can be replaced by another to provide a range of delivery flows. The nozzle assembly (50) screws into the central bore and has a discharge orifice (66) directly communicating (62) with the liquid inlet. Within the assembly, is another (80) communicating directly (114) with the air inlet and capable of fine adjustment by an external setting micrometer (26).
