Shadowless lamp for surgical operating theatre - has sets of filters which can be selected to give required colour of light

The shadowless lamp is used in surgical operating theatres and has a circular hood (1) which houses several individual lamps (2). The light from each individual lamp (2) is directed downwards by reflectors (3) and passes through filters which control the colour of the emitted light. These filters (5) are mounted in sets on a rotatable disc (6) which is controlled by a knob (8) connected to a flexible shaft (7). It is thus possible to select the required combination of filters.
