The process comprises washing or rinsing the glass in the presence of a chemical agent which can either eliminate or prevent the formation of an absorbed film of detergent on the surfacE. The treatment overcomes the adverse effect which the detergent film has on the taste qualities of drinks such as champagne, sparkling wines, beer, lemonade, coco-cola etc.
