The seat mounting adjustment for the car has separate sliding and tilt mechanism with the seat back linked to a support frame (20) which slides on a lower frame (11) which is itself mounted on the floor of the vehicle on pivoted tags (12, 13). The seat squab (15) is mounted on the upper frame on a rear pivot and with a height adjustment (19) under the front edge. The position of the seat can be adjusted independent of the tilt positions of the squab and set seat back, whose settings are independent of each other.
