The self-contained vehicle washer is collapsible and has a base (1) and roof (5) that can be folded vertically onto the side frame during transport. The roof is open at its centre (6) to let in daylight which is supplemented by artificial lights. The base has lead-in ramps (2, 3) and is levelled with friction rollers and jacks. Used water is collected in a base gutter to be purified by settlement and filtration. The tube (26) and jet (27) can be connected either to recycle cold or high pressure hot water.
