Fertiliser spreader for vineyards - has cam operated pawl and sprocket clutch providing intermittent distribution by spiked roller

The fertiliser spreader comprises a hopper (1) mounted on top of a tractor straddling the rows of plants. The tractor wheels (5) drive a shaft (14) equipped at one end with a lobe-type cam (13). This cam rotates within a square cage (12) which has one side extended to form a lever (11). This has a pawl (10) engaging a sprocket (9). The intermittent motion produced by this clutch drives a chain conveyor belt (6, 7). A spiked roller (16, 17) driven continuously, distributes the fertiliser through a bottom opening rear door (3). A hand operated tensioning pulley (19) is also fitted.
