The heat exchanger consists of a plate of conducting material. The plate is enclosed at the ends between uprights and is adjacent to a coil in which circulates the exchanger fuel. The coil and the plate are maintained in contact with each other. The ends of the panels are vertical tubes which are opened at the top end and containing a weight resting on the surface of the material in the tube. The tubes are fitted with lids. The plate is located vertically in the ground and is used in conjunction with a thermopump.
