The machine is equipped with a drum (1) on the form of a cylinder which rotates about a horizontal axis. At intervals along its length are mounts (4) for attaching brushes (2) these being bolted (5) in position and replaceable when worn. The brush mounts are positioned diametrically and, between them, in the circumferential direction, are additional mounts (9) for cutter blades (3). These are bent to a flat V-shape and provided with four cutting edges, and are reversible and replaceable (8). The blades and brushes also provide a fan effect to direct cutting into the grass box.
