Piloting aid for control of aircraft - employs data acquisition system to present control information in graphic form

A control system for a vehicle, such as an aircraft or marine craft, acts as an aid to the pilot by presenting the control information in graphic form on a screen. This suggests to the pilot that control action is necessary to maintain quality of performance. An aircraft has a number of sensors which are connected to a data acquisition system followed by a filter circuit for the data. A comparator checks these values with instruction values and the difference output is applied to a circuit which tests the range of action. This information is then transmitted to a control calculator which is programmed from a mathematical model of the piloting and which was obtained from experimental conditions. The calculator output is applied via an ordering system to the screen of a synthesiser.
