摘要
The bungalow is especially intended for countries subject to earthquake tremors, and hurricanes, and is built to withstand the force of these. The bungalow is made of a single block of steel and concrete with a density of 1.3, and an insulation factor K = 0.4. It is mounted on slides which form part of the foundation, and can be attached to be puleed by an ordinary tractor. Four clips each weighing 25 tones are embedded at an angle of 45 degrees to the horizontal, and anchor the building down. When a cyclone is forecast, guy ropes are fixed to the clips and to the bungalow. The windows and doors are shielded by steel plates which are quickly fixed in place. The outer walls are 15 cm. thick. The bungalow can be loaded onto and off a boat and transported by helicopter to its site.
