The electromechanical device includes an electromagnet and a time control. The electromagnet includes a winding (1) and a magnet frame (2) situated inside a rectangular plastic box (3). A plate (4) is attached to the inside surface of the box above the armature, while a second plate (7) is attached to a peg screwed (9) to the frame and also the box itself. Inside the winding is a hammer (6) which can be displaced axially between the two plates (4, 7). The hammer is biased towards the upper plate (4) by a spring (5). A transistor time switch (8) is arranged to switch the magnet on and off at 70-80 pulses per minute, moving the hammer to simulate the heart beat.
