The fixed frame for building facade openings such as windows is made from light insulating concrete pieces that can be rapidly assembled by unskilled labour preventing thermal bridges and condensation. The support piece is put in position and levelled and then the jambs are positioned on the gudgeon pins. The thickness of the mortar bed is regulated by calibration washers. The lintel is then placed on the jambs again using gudgeon pins. The whole assembly is fixed by the immediate construction of the infill masonary.
