Adjustable mounting for roller blind - has male and female cone pieces wedged by axial bolt which acts as screw jack to effect separation

The coupling may be used to mount each of the two arms of a roller blind, comprising two pieces of which one (1) is fixed and the other (5) is connected to the arm (6). The two pieces have complementary male and female cone forms, being connected by an axial bolt (13), and locking together by an axial wedge action. Controlled unlocking, necessary during installation, is effected by utilising the screw to jack the pieces apart. Conicity is nominal and the conical faces are more or less smooth, the bolt passing through the female (1) to enter a blind threaded bore (19) in the male (5). An axial stop (21) is provided on the bolt shaft, locating in a gap between the pieces (1, 5), and engaging the female when the bolt is untightened.
