Hydraulically operated seedling planting machine - has planting tube with planting jaws operated sequentially with pressure jaws each side

The seedling planting machine using plating tube with a pair of planting jaws (39) at the bottom, also has a pair of pressure jaws (29) operated in sequence with the planting jaws. The planting tube (20) is supported vertically and is displaced vertically by an hydraulic cylinder on one side. On the other side is a second hydraulic cylinder (32) which forces the pressure jaws against the ground. The plating jaws are swung apart to insert a plug of e.g. peat with the seedling embedded in it into the hole formed by their tips. The pressure jaws are lowere after the tips have penetrated, to form a support when they are lifted and opened.
