Dry self-locking joint for four post shelving - has square posts with grooves for necked shelf tongues with some shelf orthogonal joints

the shelving has rectangular shelf panels (5) mounted at regular vertical intervals on four square section posts. It uses dry self-locking joints. The posts occupy the corners of a plan square with narrow mouth round section grooves at set vertical intervals in two normal faces, every other groove being in the other face. One shelf unit has two tongued (7) battens (8) fixed beneath it parallel to, and inset from opposite shelf edges. Other battens (6) project beyond the normal shelf edges, allowing a post to be slid (F1) onto a tongue and into a corner emplacement. Prim. shelves may be fixed at the head and foot of the posts with the joints parallel, other shelf units with opposed edge tongues are slid (F2) perpendicularly into place, to engage intermediate grooves and lock the posts in place.
