Spiral screw sand anchor for boat - is made of metal or rigid plastics and resists vertical extraction and horizontal stress loads

The anchor has a central tube with a point at the base. A solid continuous spiral (2) extends around the complete length of the tube so that all of the tube is used to offer extraction resistance. A horizontal bar (3) through the top of the tube forms a handle and is long enough so that minimal effort is needed for deep penetration of the anchor into the ground. The top of the anchor is provided with ring (4) which can act as a cable anchor for boats etc. on beaches.
