In the washbasin (101), on the rear side of a first elevation (109) which the actual basin exhibits in its rear region, there is arranged the overflow opening (114) which is usually connected on the basin-wall rear side and underside to the discharge (103) of the washbasin (101). A second elevation (105) follows behind the first elevation (109). A concealed overflow opening (114) is thus produced with a comparatively low amount of technical complexity. IMAGE
