摘要
A high efficiency electroacoustic device for reproducing low and medium frequencies comprises a loudspeaker (3) mounted in an enclosure (1). Sound waves radiated by the loudspeaker are transmitted to the surrounding air through a horn (8) whose cross-section is for example square, rectangular or circular and whose opening increases exponentially or hyperbolically. The interior behind the horn is coupled to the rear (2) of the enclosure by vents which augment the low frequencies by creating vortices. The rear volume (2) of the enclosure forms a helmholtz resonator coupled through a square section opening (5) in the lower part of the enclosure to a further horn (6) which is conical, frustoconical, exponential or hyperbolic. The walls of the vortex generating part of the device are covered with an anti-resonant material while the free space between the lower horn (6) and the enclosure walls are filled with the material.
