STEAM BACKKUP DEVICE FOR FEED WATER PUMP DRIVE TURBINE

PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the transient quantity of water fed in the case when changing over steam sources to an auxiliary steam source from a main steam source, by mounting auxiliary steam feeders, such as, a quick opening valve, etc. CONSTITUTION:To a turbine 14a for drive of a feed water pump 10a, steam from a main steam source is fed through a valve 17 while auxiliary steam is supplied through a valve 19 from an auxiliary steam source 18. An auxiliary steam feed conduit 22 and a steam conduit 20 from the main steam source are mutually connected through a quick opening valve 23 quickly opened by a generator circuit breaker opening signal. When there happens the interruption of a generator and the main steam source becomes extinct, the valve 17 is perfectly opened, the valve 19 begins to open and steam is gradually fed to the auxiliary steam turbine 14a, but the quick opening valve 23 is rapidly opened prior to the supply of steam, auxiliary steam from the auxiliary steam source 18 is quickly fed to the turbine 14a and the transient lowering of the number of the revolution of the turbine is prevented.
