PURPOSE:To improve the flavor of the flavoring liquid for the center core of a chewing gum containing a center core, by adding ethanol to the flavoring liquid. CONSTITUTION:A mint-type flavoring liquid such as peppermint, spearmint, etc. or a fruit-type flavoring liquid (containing other flavors, sugars, thickeners, etc.) is incorporated with 0.1-10wt% of ethanol, and charged to the center part of a chewing gum base by conventional process to obtain a chewing gum having a center core.
