DRY-WET TYPE COOLING TOWER BY USING HEAT PIPE

PURPOSE:To prevent blooming of exhaust by combining monolithically and inseparably a dry cooling part using the heat pipe with a wet cooling part of direct heat exchanging type and by mixing the dry air of high temperature and the wet air of high temperature from two cooling parts to be exhausted. CONSTITUTION:The wet type cooling part 7 is constituted in such a manner that filler parts 8 are provided in opposition and at an interval on a cooled-water receiving tank 9, that hot-water distributing tanks 10 are provided on the filler parts 8 and that hot water flows in from hot-water pipes 11. Moreover, above the tanks 10, the dry-type cooling part 14 having a constitution wherein a number of heat pipes 1 having heat-radiating parts with fins are supported vertically by an upper-end and intermediate heat insulating parts 5 and 6 is provided. The heating end part of the pipe 1 is inserted into the hot water in the tank 10 and the upper part thereof is covered with an upper deck 15, while between this and the inside end of the tank 10 dampers 16 for controlling the quantity of air flow are provided. Furthermore, a fan 19 is provided inside a stack 18 for exhaust outside the tower, which is fitted to the deck 15 as a ventilating device 17 used commonly for both cooling parts 7 and 14, and in the front chamber 20 of the ventilating device in a space positioned low inside the tower, the wet air passing through the cooling part 7 and the dry air passing through the cooling part 14 are joined.
