REPORTING SYSTEM FOR END OF DMA DATA TRANSFER

PURPOSE:To realize a data process system having a high real-time property, by making the report for the end of a DMA action pass through the first-in/first-out memory like other events to be processed. CONSTITUTION:When the DMA action ends, it is reported to the data processor 1 from the DMA controller 5 via the first-in/first-out memory 4. In such way of reporting, the processor 1 receives the DMA action end event 7 from the memory 4 like other events to be processed without interrupting the real-time process of other events. At the same time, the information can be obtained for the DMA area 8 where the DMA action is given. Accordingly, the processor 1 has only to process the report 7 only when receiving the report 7 from the memory 4.
