PURPOSE:To produce efficiently metallic chromium of high purity, by adding carbon powder to the powder of chromium oxide, mixing both powders, granulating the mixture, reducing roughly the obtained granules in a plasma flame, after that, pulverizing the reduction product, kneading and molding and then by reducing in solid phase in the vacuum furnace.
