LARGE HYDRAULIC POWER PLANT UTILIZING ELEVATION HEAD OF MOUNTAIN RIVERS

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of energy for power transmission, by building a power generating tower, with a tank on its top portion, at the downstream of a small dam and connecting the tank to the dam and a water turbine. CONSTITUTION:A small dam 17 is provided in the upstream of mountain rivers then a power generating tower 3, with a tank 7 on its top portion, is built at the downstream to both communicate the small dam 17 to the tank 7 through a water induction pipe 1 and siphon pump-up water pipe 4 and connect the tank 7 to a water turbine 13 of large capacity with a connector pipe 12. In this way, a less distance is required for a power transmission line to decrease an amount of loss in power transmission, thus the efficiency of energy can be increased.
