LEAD WIRE CONNECTING METHOD FOR TUNING FORK TYPE QUARTZ OSCILLATOR

PURPOSE:To facilitate a connection between the connection pad and the lead wire, by making use of the oscillation of the ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:The basement 1 of a quartz oscillator is put down into the case basement 9, and a contact is given between the connection pads 5 and 6 and the head parts 7a and 8a of the lead wires 7 and 8 by pressing them light to each other. In such conditions, either one of the oscillator and the case basement is caused to oscillate by the ultrasonic wave. Thus the heat is generated on the surface of contact to give a perfect electrical connection between the lead wire and the connection pad. Then the epoxy adhesive 13 is flowed into the case while keeping the state of connection, and the whole part is heated up to harden the adhesive 13. Then the quartz oscillator is fixed at the case basement 9.
