PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a solution by a simple circuit by using neither digital nor analog computers by supplying numerals of coefficient and constant terms in DC voltages and by making it possible to read direct a solution in a digital value. CONSTITUTION:Direct-current voltages Va1 and Va2 corresponding to coefficients a1 and a2 of linear equations with two unknowns y=a1x+b1 and y=a2x+b2 are applied to coefficient voltage input terminals 1 and 2 respectively, and DC voltages Vb1 and Vb2 corresponding to constant terms b1 and b2 are also applied to constant- term voltage input terminals 3 and 4, so that the outputs are added by adding circuits 11 and 12 via integrating circuits 5 and 6 to output the values of a1x+b1 and a2x+b2. Fetching those outputs, comparator 13 makes a comparison and when the both agree with each other, the counting of counter 14 is stopped, but the counted value of counter 14 is a digital value proportional to x=(b2-b1)/(a1-a2) and this value is output from output terminal 17 as the solution of independent variable (x) of the simultaneous linear equations with two unknowns.
