A burner for gas stove or the like cooking and heating range comprising a base provided with an inlet for gas; a vertical mixing tube provided with a damper-cum-mixer means for connecting the lower end of the said tube with base; means for ejecting the gas into the tube provided at the upper end of the base and a burner top provided with a diaphragm.
