The goal arrangement is intended for a ball game, partic. for basket ball. It comprises a goal board (1) which carries (5,6) the basket ring (4) and is provided with optical signal means, such as one or more lamps (8), which can be switched on by means of a time switch or by a time keeper. The lamps may be placed behind a transparent portion of the board or at a distance from the board so as to illuminate it. The lamps may be switched on to indicate the end of a playing period, after which a klaxon is sounded.
