Large-scale cultivation equipment for chicory - utilising porous potting vessels with lugs placed on bed by lifting equipment

The equipment is for the growing of chicory and similar products, this being potted into porous vessels with lugs on opposite sides. The vessels are placed on the bed by means of lifting equipment. The latter can have forks spaced apart for the same distance as the lugs, also four wheels running in guide rails. Only the lifting equipment is operated for the filling and emptying of the vessels, the soil in them remaining undisturbed. The wheels can run on rails, being so positioned that the centre of gravity when lifting is always within them, the lifting equipment placing and lifting the vessels by mechanical force. The cells are always at the same distance from the guide rail.
