The board is provided with a number of positions which each hold a flower stem. The board is vacuum-shaped in plastic and each position is formed by a beaker-shaped portion of the board whose wall thickness reduces from the beaker rim towards its bottom. The thickness of this bottom is such that it is readily penetrated by a flower stem placed through it whilst the thickness of the adjoining beaker wall portion permits it to be readily deflected by the stem. The positions may be formed by indentations in the board in one direction, a beaker-shaped portion projecting upwards in the other direction from the bottom of each indentation. The board may be in polyurethane with a thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm.
