The present invention relates to an industrial process for producing protective helmets for motor cyclists and similar purposes, having at least three superimposed layers and characterised by one or more inner layers, which are geometrically preshaped and adapted to the known reinforcing layer and to the layer provided to absorb the kinetic energy caused by a possible impact, and which inner layers consist of homogeneous thermoplastic material. The invention also relates to protective helmets produced according to the aforementioned process.
