Flexible pneumatic panels for space heating applications are made from continuous impermeable sheets, pref. of plastic, along which is deposited, at suitable intervals across the sheet, longitudinal stripes of (melt) adhesive to produce seams for subdividing the sheets into longitudinal pockets. Along each border of the sheets is deposited a reinforcing wire, pref. by inclusion within a freshly extruded thermoplastic tube, hot enough to become bonded to the panel borders when pressed thereon. Openings are provided in each pocket to accept input from a hot air manifold to distend the panel, the other ends of the pockets being sealed by any suitable means, e.g. clamps or transverse welding. Suggested for horticultural applications, to be hung on walls or intermediate supports within buildings for growing or storing plants, vegetables, etc. Cheap to produce, light to install, compact to store.
