Process for quantitatively determining gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase by means of a lyophilized salt of gamma-glutamyl-p-nitranilide with an acid, which process comprises dissolving that salt in a buffer, adding the sample containing the gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase and determining the amount of p-nitraniline set free.
