ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREPROCESS FOR COVERING WALLS OF A CAVITATEDSTRUCTURE WITH A LIQUID IMPERMEABLE LINERThe walls of a cavern, reservoir or similar structure arecovered with a fluid impermeable member by a process wherein arubberized fabric or other substantially fluid impermeable sheet-like material is prefabricated to correspond in dimensions to thewalls it is to cover, and arranged in the cavity with an innersurface adapted to contact liquid to be stored and with an outersurface which is impermeable to fluids which are contained in thesurrouding area, the edges of the prefabricated liner are fixed tothe bottom of the cavity, and the liner is expanded with a fluidunder pressure until it conforms in shape and dimensions to thesidewalls and roof of the cavity it is to cover.
