According to the invention the frost depositis recurrently removed by a current of compressed airbeing directed towards and brought to sweep over thecooling-coil batteries (1),The invention also concerns an apparatus forcarrying out the method, said apparatus including atleast one compressed-air nozzle (2) which is adaptedto be recurrently directed towards and brought tosweep over said cooling-coil batteries (1) in order toblow away the frost deposit.
