DISCLOSURE: The subject of the invention is an installation for burning wood or other waste, such as sawdust, compacted household waste, etc. An installation according to the invention is characterized by three main points, namely: a so-called pyrolytic burner comprising a solid perforated piece intended to transfer combustion heat against the flow of combustible elements, a metering mill constituted by a plurality of discs carrying elements, some of these discs rotate at relatively slow speed, finally by setting in intimate contact of the fuel mixture and the combustion air at the outlet of the grinder with the fumes from the hearth. The invention is applicable to the production of heat from various wastes as well as to the production of combustible gases to power heat engines.
