A bearing structure including a bearing housing (16), a thrust sleeve (42) retained within the bearing housing (16), a pair of bearing sleeves (17,18) received within the bearing housing (16) on opposite sides of the thrust sleeve (42), and a shaft (14) received within the thrust sleeve (42) and bearing sleeves (17,18). The thrust sleeve (42) is retained in a manner to permit movement of the thrust bearing relative to the bearing housing (16) to correspond with movement of the bearing sleeves (17,18) to maintain parallelism between the associated end bearing surfaces on the thrust sleeve (42) and bearing sleeves (17.18).
