The use of packing drums made of water vapour-permeable flat elements having a water absorption capacity of at least 8% by weight in 48 hours, measured at 93% relative atmospheric humidity and 23 DEG C, as packaging means for hexamethylenediammonium adipate having a water content of at least 0.1% by weight.
