Medicament with immunostimulant activity characterised by a content of at least one thymosin-alpha 1-fragment and/or at least one derivative thereof in free form or in the form of a pharmacologically acceptable salt, with the exception of those of the general formula X-Glu-Asn-OH, wherein X has the meaning H, H-Ala-, H-Glu-Ala-, H-Glu-Glu-Ala-, H-Val-Glu-Glu-Ala- or H-Val-Val-Glu-Glu-Ala-, and the physiologically compatible salts thereof.
