Methyl 5-(n-propyl)thiobenzimidazolecarbamate is prepared by reacting 4-propylthio-o-phenylenediamine with N,N'-dicarbomethoxy-2-methyl-2-isothiourea. The compound obtained is a gastrointestinal antiparasitic agent for animals.
