The purified water is taken again by being collected in a discharge pipe (21) connected to the outlet (17) by a flexible conduit (20) and a non-return valve (19), this pipe (21) being arranged inside the vessel (1) below the upper level (5) of the water to be taken and above the level (9) of the settling sludge. Floats (22, 23) enable the pipe (21) to be maintained at the intended immersion level and it is guided in its movement by vertical guides (27, 28). Provision is also made for creating an overpressure in the space (14) above the water level.
