The belt is guided by a pulley pivoting about an axis tangential to its rim. Specifically the pivots comprise a spindle in a plane extending tangentially to the circumference of one of the pulleys, in the drum side, in order to displace the axis of this pulley on the axis of the devices forming the pivot so as to guide the belt in a manner which maintains it centered on the contact surfaces without pulley flanges.
