On the outlet side of the fan (2) is an electric heater for the air emitted by the fan. An outlet nozzle (5) is positioned directly on the housing (1). The housing (1) has a second connection (3) for fan-driven air; this connection (3) is connected by means of a detachable hose (11) to a hair treatment implement (20) which has holes in (24) for the air to emerge from. The connection (3) is on the suction, or pressure side. A handle (7) is situated crosswise to the outlet, with the movable hose (11) emerging obliquely downwards from the handle (7), in the operating position.
