The support plate (3) for a slide projector is of a design which permits it to be slidably mounted on a wall, or set on a foldable table. It can also be connected to a shelf, or another piece of furniture. This arrangement is such that the projector, when in operational position, is always aligned with the centre of a stationary projection screen. Pref. the support plate has bottom profiled rails (2), which protrude at one side, which may be slid into bushes (1) of matching profiles, set in the plate supporting wall. Alternately the support plate may have four vertical legs, height adjustable via bores and split pins in a foldable table plate. In the instance of a shelf, or another furniture piece, front profiled tubes may be used to support the plate rails. Two such plates may be provided in stacked member, for depositing anciliary material.
