Storage type recuperative heat exchanger has a set of honeycomb type passages which absorb moisture from the air. The honeycomb is made from thin films or sheets of cellulose acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, etc. The sheets or tubes are at least partially bonded to each other by means of phenol resin, urea resin or water glass. The outer edge of the structure with the passages down which the air flows are fixed by dipping them into synthetic resin or waterglass. Esp. for use on washing with a drying cycle. The exchanger described is very cheap to produce and gives good value.
